Merseyventure Open Challenge Series 2010
Merseyventure organise a series of Open Challenges each year, including National Three Peaks Challenges, Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenges, Multisport Adventure Challenges, Welsh 3000's Challenge, Lake District 24 Peaks, and other exhilerating team challenge events.
'Open Challenges' are events where any team can enter, and are not committed to raise funds for any particular charity or good cause. Whilst some teams choose not to raise any sponsorship money, many other teams use these Open Challenge events to raise much needed funds for a smaller, more local charity or good cause that is of special interest to them. In 2006 one team raised over £100,000 for a local cancer charity - which would not have been possible if entered into a charity organised event.
However, charities are welcome to (and often do) enter their own teams into our Open Challenge events, thus gaining the teams sponsorship from an organised event without the expense of having to organise their own charity challenge. We will normally have team entries from groups raising funds for a number of major charities, alongside private and corporate teams not involved in any fundraising activity.
